The Word Of The Lord

Dear Friends,
As you know, the Church of England has told us to stop holding public services. In the light of this, I’ve been having a think about what we can do to maintain our spiritual life together at the unprecedented time. To help with this, I am thinking here of using the internet in the following ways:
i. Beginning on Thursday morning 19th March, I will live stream on Youtube a short morning Bible reading and prayer time. I am thinking of 9:30am as a start time for this. I will do this every morning at the same time, except on my day off and Sundays.
ii. On Sundays at 10am, I will livestream on Youtube a short service with prayers, music (hopefully) and a full length sermon.
iii. I will open St Mary’s on Sunday from 9am-12pm for folk to come and pray; I will also open Jump from 5-6pm for the same purpose
I will keep this going until the current restrictions are lifted. I will use my Ezra File Youtube channel for this. I will also try to get it on our A Church Near You page.
I am determined that we support one another spiritually during this time. I trust that God is at work through the emergency we now face. I pray that he will build his Church - in Wombwell, and in the world!
May God continue to bless you and watch over you.

Rev John Armstrong.
